Dear Rosenam

I'm impressed that you are so positive despite being sore.

Regarding your ankle giving way - ask if there is something to stop it happening. I have a drop foot and it was the third design of aid before we found an aid that worked for me.

Gone are the days where things were done for us and the NHS pre-empted problems by routine orthopedic checkups. Nowadays although the staff are still as dedicated they are firefighting and therefore reactive rather than proactive. (Sorry about this rant !! )

Have a fun packed day

Hi

As this is the first 'aid' I've had I'll give it a go, next appt is January - barring any problems - I'll just have to see how it goes
Have had the splint on for 3 hours but really had to take it off, my foot just isn't used to being in that position

I am usually quite positive, but I have my moments

I think I'm still in 'get on with it mode' I know this will have to change but I'm getting there. I do take things a bit easier (not as much as I should though)

Just seen your reply - I've been on holiday driving visitors around the tourist atractions - great fun!!

I hope by now everything has settled and its working well.

I've had to readjust my kneebrace again and even now its not working as well as it did to begin with. However when I take it of it is a lot worse so it must be doing something.

Hope you all have a great Christmas

Hi there

I seem to be having that problem too - when I don't have it on it hurts so like you I thought it must be doing something

Have a merry xmas
